  • Polynucleotides under the eyes

The under-eye area is one of the most popular and most rewarding — areas to treat with polynucleotides. The skin here is exceptionally thin and doesn't respond well to volumising fillers, which can create puffiness or the Tyndall effect.

Polynucleotides work differently. Rather than adding volume, they improve the quality of the skin itself: increasing hydration, reducing the transparency that causes dark circles, and gently tightening fine crepey lines. Results are subtle, natural, and cumulative across three sessions.

Best suited to: Early hollowing, dark circles caused by skin thinning, crepiness in the periorbital area.

  • Face & jawline

Full-face polynucleotide treatment addresses overall skin quality rather than individual concerns. Across the cheeks, forehead, and jawline, the treatment stimulates fibroblast activity to restore hydration, firmness, and luminosity that's declined over time.

Particularly effective for clients experiencing a general loss of 'bounce' — skin that looks tired or dull rather than showing specific lines or volume loss. The result is your skin, performing at a higher level.

Best suited to: Late twenties onwards, general skin quality decline, post-summer skin fatigue, pre-event skin preparation.

  • Neck & décolleté

The neck and décolleté are among the first areas to show signs of ageing — and among the most neglected in aesthetic treatment plans. Polynucleotides address the fine crepey texture, laxity, and horizontal neck lines that accumulate here.

Treatment works at the dermal level to improve skin structure rather than mask surface symptoms. Multiple sessions produce meaningful improvement in texture and tone in areas that respond poorly to topical products alone.

Best suited to: Crepey skin texture, early laxity, horizontal neck lines, general décolleté renewal.

  • Acne scar remodelling

PLINEST has a specific bio-regeneration protocol for acne scar remodelling — one session every 14–21 days across three treatments. Polynucleotides work by improving the extracellular matrix beneath the scar, encouraging healthier collagen architecture to replace the disorganised tissue that creates scarring.

Results are progressive and measurable. At UDB we use MEICET AI skin analysis to track surface texture changes across your treatment course, giving you objective data alongside your mirror.

Best suited to: Rolling and boxcar acne scars, post-acne skin texture irregularities, clients looking for a non-ablative regenerative approach.

Your treatment journey

  • Full skin assessment using our MEICET AI scanner — hydration, elasticity, pigmentation, and texture mapped before we plan anything. Your baseline is established and your treatment programme confirmed.

first treatment

  • PLINEST administered intradermally using ultra-fine 30G needles. 30–45 minutes. Minimal downtime — some redness and pinpoint marks for 24–48 hours. Most clients go about their day normally afterwards.

Session 2 — 3 weeks later

  • Cellular repair deepening. Hydration noticeably improving. Skin beginning to respond at a structural level.

Session 3 — 6 weeks from start

  • Full regenerative response. Results are clearly visible. MEICET rescan to compare against your baseline — objective data, not just the mirror.

Maintenance — every 2–3 months

  • Sustain and build on your results. Many clients incorporate this into their regular skin programme alongside homecare.

"The clients I see getting the best results are the ones who approach polynucleotides as a programme, not a one-off. Three sessions, proper homecare alongside it, and the commitment to maintain. That's when the skin really transforms."

Questions we hear most

What are Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are long-chain DNA fragments derived from purified salmon or trout DNA. As biostimulators, they signal your skin's fibroblast cells to produce more collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid — improving skin quality from the inside out rather than adding surface volume.

Hows this different to fillers or skinboosters

Fillers add volume. Skin boosters like Profhilo deliver deep injectable hydration via hyaluronic acid. Polynucleotides do something different — they stimulate your skin to rebuild its own structural proteins. The result is regeneration, not modification. Think of it as restoring how your skin performs rather than changing how it looks from the outside.

Do Polynucleotides work for dark circles under ryes

For dark circles caused by skin thinning and transparency — yes, polynucleotides are one of the most effective options available. They improve the quality and thickness of the under-eye skin itself. They won't address dark circles caused by pigmentation or deep structural hollowing, which is why a proper consultation and MEICET assessment matters before treatment.

How many sessions do i need

A full course is 3 sessions spaced 3 weeks apart. This is the programme required to achieve the full regenerative response. Maintenance sessions every 2–3 months sustain and build on results. We recommend the course of 3 for all new clients.

How long will the results last

Results from a full course typically last 6–12 months, with visible improvement appearing from weeks 3–5 after your first session. Longevity depends on age, skin condition, sun exposure, and your homecare routine. Maintenance sessions every 2–3 months extend and build on results.

Is there any downtime

Minimal. You may experience some redness and minor pinpoint marks at injection sites for 24–48 hours. Most clients continue their day as normal following treatment. We'll advise you on what to avoid in the 24 hours after your session during your consultation.

Who is not suitable for Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are not suitable during pregnancy, for anyone under 18, or for those with a known hypersensitivity to fish-derived products. Your full medical history will be reviewed at consultation before any treatment is recommended.
